Acatne Velleda Size:14" x 20" in 1908 it became theAdvertising poster for the chainless Acatne Metropole bicycle with G&J tires showing the Germanic priestess, Velleda, a legendary leader of the Batavian uprising against the Romans, with a bird of prey carrying chains and the Latin motto "Vae Catenis," or "Woe to Chains," above its head. Created by Biarritz Baylac in 1898 and published by Kossuth & Cie, Paris at 156 x 118 cm.
