As a result, Intrepid Adversary is a great creature to throw down at any even point on the mana curve, as long as you already have creatures on the battlefield

I can imagine the knobs on this card had to be adjusted quite a bit to keep it from being absolutely busted, and it ended up being mostly safe but also quite weak
